been a long time…

so…yeah…2011 has come and gone and Paper Street is still not released. No one is more pissed about that than me. The short story is i pulled a type 2 sprain on my ankle during training for my first half marathon which basically knocked me out that particular event which led to a mini-depression and a general lack of desire to do anything. Also, the plans i had for executing the paper street physical release were pretty much reduced to ash by logistical issues. Starting this week, I am reworking the art to something more conventional and this thing WILL be released this year, even if i have to build a time machine to go back in time to do it. Gozer is already off to an interesting start. Band out of Indonesia wants to do a split and Operation Grindcore Vol. 2 will be released on Grindcore Karaoke. so yes on that. Wrist Cut Rally is currently on hold as Cory has 37 other projects going right now.  I believe that is all for now. I will try to update this more often. Of yer hurting for my wordbombs I have been occasionally contributing to the Operation Grindcore blog, so keep an eye on that. Later. -Marc

RELEASES AND SHIT!!!!!!

Ok people. “Grind Theft Auto” is live at the Torn Flesh archive. This download features both the Gozer and KHR sides of the split plus a new digital booklet featuring art from both halves of the original release. Go here and git yer grind on. Gozer’s last CD, “Warning..” was also reprinted and should be up in the Operation Grindcore distro in the next week or so. We also finally got to record two new songs for the Op:grind vol. 2 comp. That SHOULD wrap Gozer up for the year. Hoping to move forward on finishing Paper Street in the next two weeks. Umm…i do believe that is all for now. too fast for blog

wow…i feel like shit happens so fast anymore and i don’t get a chance to update this blog properly. big news right now is ANOTHER FUCKING COMP FOR GOZER! jesus christ those guys are comp sluts. this one will be via Torn Flesh Records, a net label like us except they actually release peoples shit where as I i am very selfish and just focus on my garbage. It will actually be live in a few hours so keep checking. Speaking of that, Torn Flesh is going to digitally reissue Grind Theft Auto, Gozer’s split with Kindergarten Hazing Ritual. This will feature BOTH halves of the split and a reworked digital booklet that will only be available at the Torn Flesh download. This represents the first time someone that isn’t us is promoting an album of ours and i want to thank them for that sincerely! Very cool indeed. More Gozer news. I am doing a limited edition discography CD that will feature every song we have ever done including the two songs from the 37564 comp. These will be offered for free to anyone serving in the miltary overseas, so if yer interested, hit us up. We will also be selling a few of these at the Operation Grindcore distro. Paper Street is slowly rolling forward. The new CD is streaming up at the bandcamp site so go check that out. I was planning on starting the screen printing process last weekend but i severely sprained my foot on a run about a week ago which means standing and screen printing for an extended period of time is right out the window. wow. strangely enough, quite a bit has happened since i last updated. One. Gozer will be on TWO more comps this year. That is fucking ridiculous. First one will be for International Shart Records, a net label ran by Justin Barger of Arseterror infamy. That should be dropping sooner rather than later. Stay tuned for details. The second one is Operation Grindcore Vol. 2. Andrew done lost his damn mind and is putting out another comp. Click on the previous link to get the full rundown. This is going to be a two disc affair released sometime this fall. Mike and I are scheduling time to record new songs for this. Apparently the key to getting gozer to record more often is giving us compilation opportunities. In Paper Street news, That thing is pretty much done except for printing. I expect to be uploading that to the bandcamp site in the coming weeks. Still need to hammer out a shirt idea. Oh…yeah..i dont think i mentioned it on here but anyone who preorders the CD will get a shirt and a ton of old PSSC merch. Well,  i am mailing out the gozer cds tomorrow. thanks to everyone that bought one. i love you fuckers. srsly. Hoping to finish the saga of paper street this summer. i have been sitting on that for four years now. I miss that band a lot more than i thought i would. i would not rule out the three of us working together in some capacity down the road. you never ever know. Oh shit. Gozer Unleashed!

Gozer’s new album is posted here. It’s only streaming right now. We will make it downloadable in a week or so. If you want a physical copy it will be $10. We are only taking orders for about a month so don’t sleep on this shit. We are not making extras either. Email me for details on that. We also might be getting a twitter account. More on that as it develops. In other news, our dude Cory/Kindergarten Hazing Ritual got their Fuck Capcom album released on Grindcore Karaoke. The first ever 37564 compilation has been released! Go get that sumbitch right here. Gozer and WRISTCUTRALLY have songs on this thing. “For Christmas I Got You A Restraining Order” is an entirely new song written by Gozer specifically for this compilation. “Cutting The Cord With A Chainsaw” is an alternate version of a song that will be on the upcoming “WARNING: PRODUCT MAY CONTAIN GOZER” full length. “Blue Waffle Coffee at Charbucks” marks the debut of WRISTCUTRALLY, the collaboration between yours truly and Corymonster from Kindergarten Hazing Ritual. I have not heard the song since I sent it back to Cory and I am really loving how it turned out. Hope you all do too. I have started laying out the next Gozer album and that will be much easier than I thought. Mike is tweaking the mix right now but so far, so good. Once that is released, Paper Street is up next. After that, who knows? Mike and I have been talking since the new project ended and we have a lot of ideas that we are really excited about. We are considering trying to squeeze out another release this year, but with my schedule and the backlog we have going on right now, im not sure how that is going to work. 2012 will definitely bring about a new gozer release. but more on that MUCH later. all for now. thanks for stopping bye-marc.

Finally got the first W.O.T. album posted on bandcamp.  Also added a facebook page as well. Yep. Facebook pages for bands that no longer exist. Do i know how to party or what? All that info is under the W.O.T. link on the right. As I write this Gozer is getting ready to put the finishing touches on the full length and 2 new songs for the 37456 compilation. The comp drops the first week of March. The full length will get done when we get a round to it. We are busy people. More after this weekend’s recording session. Also, I had to put the kibosh on the new project. I am needed at home right now and that is where i have to direct my energies. Gozer will still be doing releases but as for a fully functional live band, I cannot do it right now. Peace.
